Bio:
Fall of 2003, Biology lecture on a Tuesday evening. Paul watched his mind wander from the topic at hand, and drift towards the margins of his notes.
There, he scribbled the simple words, “Drag my lake,” while reflecting on his own need for change and maturity. The resulting poem was the basis for a
simple, finger picked chorus that took on a heart of its own, and was later entitled “Drag.”
The ideal in mind was songwriting – keep the lyrics real, keep the music beautiful. A music student and music lover, Paul has kept in mind the ideals found in the music of James Taylor, and lesser known songwriter Derek Webb.
Paul plays local concerts around the Millersville, PA area during the year, and plays in and around Stone Harbour, NJ during the summer. He currently studies music education at Millersville University, and works
as a camp counselor at the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children in Avalon, NJ.
Obvious influences include:
Derek Webb, James Taylor, Denison Witmer,
Sufjan Stevens, and Coldplay.
Less obvious influences include:
Johannes Brahms, Billy Corgan,
and mewithoutYou.
